Yes, they will notice if the boost is pushed higher, however my local dealer (Bob Smith MINI) told me that with a pulley upgrade the only thing void of the warranty is the blower itself (only about $800 on ebay if it even goes out). I have an Alta Intake and Supersprint catback on the car right now and will be installing the 17% reduction pulley from helix13 in a month or so. With those mods the car has about 200hp at the crank. Then there's a larger throttle body, bigger intercooler and header which yields another 10-15 hp at the crank. The GIAC ECU upgrade is in the works right now as well and they are claiming up to a 20hp gain at the wheels. The internals on the S are all forged, so the motor can handle up to about 300 crank hp on the stock bottom end, but the tranny can't handle that much. If you have anymore ?s don't hesitate to email me (ZAMIRZ@sbcglobal.net), the aftermarket scene on these cars is exploding right now.
